Financial Planner (Remote)
Full-time | Chesapeake Financial Planners
At Chesapeake Financial Planners, we help clients make confident financial decisions—without the jargon or sales pitch. We’re a tech-forward, fiduciary firm that believes clarity and accountability lead to better outcomes. We’re growing, and we’re looking for a Financial Planner who’s ready to step into a meaningful role between a paraplanner and lead advisor—someone who’s got the technical chops, the curiosity to keep learning, and the people skills to make complex things feel simple.
What You’ll Do
You’ll work directly with our lead advisors and clients to help deliver comprehensive, tax-aware financial plans. You’ll manage your own planning cases, support client meetings, and gradually take on a more client-facing role as you grow.
Specifically, you’ll:
- Prepare and refine financial plans using RightCapital
- Coordinate with clients through PreciseFP for data gathering and follow-up
- Collaborate with the team inside Salesforce to ensure client records are up to date
- Join client meetings to present sections of the plan and answer questions
- Help execute recommendations and track client action items
- Communicate proactively with clients to keep their plan moving forward
- Support ongoing process improvement and documentation as we scale
Who You Are
- 2–4 years of experience in financial planning or related work
- Strong understanding of core planning areas: cash flow, retirement, tax, and investment strategy
- Working toward (or already have) the CFP® designation—we’ll support your path there
- Excellent communication and organization skills—clear writing and genuine curiosity matter here
- Tech-savvy and comfortable in a fully remote environment
- Collaborative and client-centered—someone who listens first and takes initiative second
What’s In It For You
- Competitive salary commensurate with experience
- Performance-based incentives, plus professional development and CFP® exam support
- A transparent, growth-focused culture with mentorship from senior CFP® and CPA advisors
- Clear path to advancement—whether toward lead planner, operations, or specialist roles
- Flexibility to work remotely, aligned to Eastern Time hours
- A chance to do meaningful work for clients with complex financial lives, while being part of a genuinely kind, tech-forward team
